MITCHELL, SD -
A man who pleaded guilty earlier this year to escaping from a Mitchell police car has been sentenced to three years in prison for violating terms of his probation.
23-year-old Roderick Rouse admitted to leaving addiction treatment and failing to enroll in a state sobriety program.
Authorities say Rouse in May squeezed through a small, unlocked plastic window separating the back and front seats of the squad car and fled, eluding officers for about an hour.
Rouse was given credit for 82 days he already has served behind bars.
