Brookings Businesses Get Boost From Game, Black Friday

Black Friday and Jackrabbit Blue are teaming up for a profitable weekend in Brookings.    

As Christmas decorations go up in the downtown business district, stores in Brookings expect a strong start to the holiday shopping season bolstered by the crowds in town for Saturday's SDSU playoff football game.

"Hotels are full; restaurants are going to be very busy this weekend.  People are looking for things to do and downtown is a great place to be for shopping and restaurants so it will be busy," Jenna Lundgren with Trendz Consignment Studios said.

Trendz Consignment Studios says they get a lot of out-of-towners who don't want to deal with the large Black Friday crowds in Sioux Falls.
