White Medical Clinic recently received a deficiency free survey and rural health clinic certification from the South Dakota Department of Health.
The positive, deficiency free survey results signal that White Medical Clinic is in complete compliance with state and federal regulations for providing exceptional health care.
In addition, White Medical Clinic’s recent rural health clinic certification helps to stabilize the clinic’s presence in the White community. To receive the rural health clinic certification, a clinic must demonstrate the highest quality standards set by the federal government.
The federal Rural Health Clinics program encourages the provision of primary health care to individuals in underserved rural areas that might otherwise lack convenient access to quality medical services in a rural community. The program creates a reduction for out-of-pocket medical costs to Medicare and Medicaid recipients and improves access to medical care in rural communities.
White Medical Clinic offers primary care, women’s health care, pediatric care, immunizations, preventive medicine and physical exams. It also offers area residents access to enhanced laboratory services and medical specialists. An integrated medical records system gives patients a continuity of care at Brookings Health System’s main campus.
