South Dakota State University says it is investigating an incident of racial harassment at a residence hall on campus.
The university in a statement says the campus police and school officials are looking into who wrote on the stall of a bathroom at a campus residence hall last week.
The graffiti on the stall made disparaging comments toward Native American students at SDSU. It listed two room numbers, a racial epithet and told them to "go back to the rez," which is short for reservation.
Pictures of the graffiti have been making the rounds on social media networks.
The university says it does not condone the incident.
