South Dakota's first legal still since the end of Prohibition has gained quite a spirited following.
Dakota Spirits Distillery gave away free samples to players at a golf tournament in Brandon on Friday.
The Pierre based company has been in operation since 2006, making vodka, whisky and brandy.
“We have such a big farming industry, we have the best corn in the world grown here, the best wheat. We're capable of growing everything that you need for good spirit production,” A.J. Rounds with Dakota Spirits Distillery said.
Rounds says the growing popularity of micro-breweries and craft wineries is carrying-over into the distillery industry.
