ABERDEEN, SD -
The city of Aberdeen has earmarked $134,000 to create an improvement plan to help alleviate flowing problems in Moccasin Creek.
City Manager Lynn Lander says the improvements would be made on the creek within the city limits. He says the only way to address the ongoing flow problems is "through phases."
The money has been included in the city's 2013 capital outlay budget.
This winter, the city's engineering department will put together proposals for the plan, which would be submitted by next spring.
Lander says it hasn't been decided if the city will seek federal money.
