Agriculture > Farmer's Market
Tired of having to open gates all the time driving in and out of pastures, I have the fix. Hi I'm Gregory Hansen in Dell Rapids, SD and I"m building specialy designed gates that all you do is drive over them and they do the rest. No more getting out and having to open the gates. Cows will not push them because it move a little and it scares them. They are very sturdy; by what i mean sturdy they can hold the weight of a feeder wagon. Made one five years ago and have never had any of the metal bend or brake on it. The gate can and have had anything drive of it. Im able to make them to 20 feet wide. If you if you want more information on one give me a call or text, at 605-351-4882, Gregory Hansen.

Offering for sale a 3 year-old Palomino horse-colt. He is quite the eye-catcher with a light golden body and white down the face and on all 4 legs. First 2 pics taken recently--he is looking very nice all shed out for the summer. Last 2 pics show him with his winter coat ealier this year.
He is Grade--No Papers. He is a great saddle prospect for someone looking to train a horse this summer. He has not been halter trained and will also need to be gelded. He is a blank slate with no bad habits. Ready to geld and start training.
He has started showing an interest in people. Comes right up to us although we have not had our hands on him yet. Should mature at 15H. He has always been sound. Asking $275, Cash Only Please. Please contact me if you have any questions or leave a phone number. Thanks for looking:)

Rockin T Top Poco (Bucky) is a 11 year old buckskin gelding. He is a nice looking gelding and would make a great horse. He is not a kids horse and needs an experienced rider. I ran barrels on him for 3 years and have done ranch work on him since we got him, which was 4 years ago. He was used a lot last summer for ranch work. I haven't ran barrels on him since about a year ago. I am getting rid of him because I don't like running barrels and we have to many other horses to ride.

Amarillo is a Beautiful AQHA Registered Dun Mare. She also has a white blaze and one blue eye. She is a 2007 Model so just turned 6 this year. Halter trained and worked with as a weanling/yearling. Nice Disposition and great bloodlines too. Just on her papers she has Fixers Crystal Brick, The Big Fix, San Leo Lynx, Joe Quincy, Tinky JoAnn.
She is currently open as I have not exposed her to a stud yet this year. Great broodmare and for the right person--she could easily be started under saddle also. Always been sound, gets along with other horses, and has been around cattle and llamas.
She is a special mare for me and I'd like to see her find a great home. Contact if interested or leave a phone number and I will get back to you. Asking $525, cash only please--serious offers considered. Thanks for Looking:)

Bloom of Gold is a 2004 off the track Thoroughbred. She has been off the track for a few years now. She goes by "Indyanna". She is a very nice mare that I had hoped to use as a barrel horse but just don't have time to ride her now that I am out of college and have a full time job. My other horses also do not get along with her and as a result she has a cut on her face that is still healing. I have hauled her to a few shows last fall and have taken her overnight camping. Her pervious owner used her for english. When you run her she is fast and has been bred for speed she goes back to Slew of Gold who won $3,533,534 during his racing career and Seatle Slew the triple crown winner. She does need an experience rider. She is register at 16.1 hands although she maybe a little taller. she does stand for the farrier but you do have to put a rope around her but to load but I have been working on that and she is getting better at loading. I am asking $1200 or best offer, I don't have to sell her I just would like to find someone that can spend more time with her then I can and I will continue to ride her and haul her until she is sold.

4 year old Solid Black Paint mare. NOT registered, but I have EVERY paper in order for her to be so (APHA), including owner transfers. I just never got around to it when I bought her as a 2 yr old. Has some of the same background breeding as the great Frenchman’s Guy, like Joe Reed II, Leo, Red Cloud and etc. Has Sonny Dee Bar and Black Tie affair as her great grandfather and Grandfather. I bought her as a cow horse prospect but she’s telling me she wants to be a barrel horse, as her breeding pointed to that after I researched it more! She’s 15H right now, probably won’t get much taller, but is definitely still putting on muscle. Pure black in winter with white blaze, browns out a bit in summer, but stays black if you keep a fly sheet on her. Excellent hooves, short backed, long legs, medium chest and hip, good length neck and head. I broke her as a two year old slowly and right, excellent ground manners, lunges perfect, stands for farrier, mounting and saddling. Rides out alone or in a group, good with cars, rides bareback too. Not boom proof, but not overly spooky either; is good about letting you redirect her attention when something makes her nervous. Side passes, rollbacks, turns on the forehand, stops nice, steps over or jumps logs and ditches, have swam her a few times, goes over most everything on the trail. Moves off leg, neck reins some, I still two rein a lot. Definitely still needs an experienced rider, if she’s not worked consistently, she gets snotty ( seems to be growing out of that stage slowly but surely tho!). I’ve been working her three days a week and that does the trick. Not a hot horse, but likes to run, even away from home. Have walked the barrel pattern on her a few times, she seems interested. Trailer loading could prolly use some work, I’ve trailered her twice, she loaded within ten min, but hesitated nervously both times. Once in the trailer she does awesome, isn’t wild, doesn’t clunk around. I trailered her six hours here from Minnesota when I moved this summer and she handled it perfect. Is pastured with four cows and three other horses, is the boss in the field, but hardly. The geldings will sass back when she gets too pushy, so she’s not a real bossy mare. Respects fence, catches easy. 605-881-9816

Sadly offering for sale my gorgeous, sweet 16 year old Half Arabian pinto mare. She is a stand out show horse with her perfect markings and really moves like a dream as she is so smooth and fun to ride. She was shown in western and hunt at a younger age and was always top 3 in her classes. Frankie is still currently being worked daily to get back in shape. Even though she is a complete sweetheart, she is not a beginners horse. I am willing to help new owner get started with her for showing if you are from around my area and wish to show her. I know all about this horse as I have owned her since she was 4 years old and know all of her quirks and likes/dislikes. Frankie is also a great broodmare, easy to breed, lets you watch her foal and play with her babies with no problems. She has had two gorgeous, very typey PINTO babies when she was bred to purebred arabian solids. Spots both times! So you can show, breed or just enjoy her like I have and do it all. Asking $2800/negotiable. A good home is a MUST as she was always my forever horse. Only selling because I must cut back on horses due to expecting my own human baby and I plan on keeping her 2010 filly to take her place. This mare is very special and could be making someone else as happy as she has made me for about the past 12 years. More pics available by request.

Justice is a Black 3 yr old horse-colt~AQHA Registered. A really nice bred horse and a great disposition to go with it. Bloodlines include: Ciderwood, Orphan Drift, Doc's Jack Frost, Doc's Wrangler, Poco Bueno, Doc's Borrego. Only have a couple pics of him right now will try to post more pics soon. He is a little lean right now, since he's been slowly growing throughout the winter although is starting to fill out more and more on pasture. I'm expecting him to mature pretty close to 16H.
He will also need to be gelded unless of course you're looking for a Black QH Stallion Prospect also:) Justice has been haltered and worked with some this last winter. I just worked with him briefly one day and didn't have any problems. He's not completely halter broke yet although shouldn't take much to get him there and ready to saddle. Always been sound, gets along with our other horses and has been around cattle and llamas.
I really like Justice--he's a great prospect. Will have some size and go to him as well as a great disposition. Could go in any direction and have a great future as a saddle-horse. If you're interested contact with any questions or leave a phone number and I'll get back to you. First person to come look at Justice will have first choice. Asking $525, cash only please. We have several yearlings that we have decided to offer for sale. This ad is just for the horse-colts. Will post other ads for the filly’s to show more pics. Great project colts for the summer and should really grow. Our family operates a cattle ranch—we raise a few horses and occasionally buy a few for members of the family to work with. They’re all great project colts for the summer—different personalities—and should really take off and grow this summer.
Most are still shedding off their winter coat. Prices do vary. I've decided to offer these 3 boys as a package deal for $175, cash only please. Would sell just one or a pair also. Contact for more info or leave a phone number and I'll get back to you. Can also e-mal more pics if needed. First person who can come look will have first choice.
Peppy is a sorrel horse-colt with white star and very small strip. Has not been haltered yet.
Dandy is a large pony cross and has a flaxen mane and tail. Cute little fellow. Expect him to mature to be more of a large pony/smaller horse size. He did get a cut on his leg recently that is healing. He is not limping and expect him to heal up with no problem.
Redford is the sorrel shown with the halter~has been handled and is out of registered stock. Selling as grade although will send along the application we have for him. His bloodlines include: Mr San Peppy, Bill's Rock, Beau Bonanza, Grey Badger II, Peppy San Badger, Colonel Freckles, Joe Hancock, Go Man Go. Has white down the face.

He had 45 days of professional training as a 2 year old and just got back from 30 days of refresher training. He is very smart and willing to learn. He hasn't had much trail riding done but has been around tractors and dogs. He is easy to catch. He stands tied, saddled, loves to be brushed. He will load into a trailer. He is UTD on all shots and coggins. He just had his teeth done 03/24/13. He only has one small white star on his head. He does still have some growing to do. A good home is a must and serious buyers only.

Hi, my name is Dana Nelson, I am 19 and I have ridden horses since age 7. I have been involved in 4-H since I was 8 and have given private lessons, as well as helped with a riding camp last summer. I am very good with kids but am willing to help people of any age that would like to learn about horses. I have worked with horse trainers in the past so can help with some training on the side if interested. Normally, I use my horses to give lessons, but will work with you and your horse if you would like. Having a horse is NOT a requirement, however. I have experience in Western, English, gaming, and cattle working disciplines. If you have any questions you can contact me by text or call (605-659-5910) or email hrsluver11@hotmail.com

Blue is a 10 year old grade QH mare. Broke to ride but needs a confident rider. She has mainly used as a trail horse and a broodmare before we got her. She just spend some time at the trainer as I wanted to barrel race with her. Her stride isnt built for a barrel horse. I was told she would be good on a cow ranch as she is powerful to hold and drag a steer anywhere. Would consider trading for a barrel prospect or something that is ready to run this summer. $1000 obo

Late Night 'lil Queen is a five-year-old registered mare. She has two stars on her forehead and a right hind coronet. I bought her from an auction last spring and trained her over the summer. She loads like a dream, hardly ever spooks, and loves to go on trail rides. She loves attention, is a sweetheart, and really wants to please. She is getting a refresher from me at the moment and acts like this is nothing new. She picks up her front feet easily, but could use a little more work on the back ones. She has no problems with tarps, traffic, or loud noises. She has had the English saddle on a few times, but is not trained in English and not for a beginner yet, but could be eventually. She needs a good home with someone who can provide her with a job. She has speed and quick turns. Some pictures were taken last summer and some this week. Please text or e-mail me if interested! Rascal is a 18 year old Mustang gelding who looks 12 and acts 8! He is up for sale only because we have to many horses. He loads and picks up his feet and after being out to pasture for two years I was able to just hop on him and ride him around and he never missed a beat. He would make an intermediate or experienced rider very happy as he does flying lead changes and neck reins! He is very quick and retains what he learns! He is an easy keeper and is up to date on his vaccinations and worming and trims.

Montana Ebony Rust ABC 4000 aka “Tana” is a full abcr curly beautiful bay mare. Tight curls in her ears and curled eyelashes that are hard to see how cute they are in pictures. She is just 2 years old but is truly a sweet mare, first to come to the gate. She is so calm and trusting that she would be an awesome horse for anyone. She is an easy catcher. She is a horse that is just so curious and does not spook. I have had her since she was a weaning and really worked with her. She is ready for her forever home to be broke how anyone wants. She stands tied, picks her feet up, ground driving with a saddle or harness, loads in a trailer awesome and backs out, is great with her feet. Tana also ponies wonderful. She is up to date on her shots and ready to go; only selling Tana as I have switched jobs and do not have time to dedicate to Tana. Does your horse buck? Does he kick out sideways when you ask for the canter? Many horses come off-the-track back sore. If their hips are locked it can cause what might appear to be a serious lameness issue. Before you panic, call a chiropractor/equine sports. Most horses will benefit from an adjustment or two. Follow this up with lunging work and backing, to build up the muscles, to hold the adjustment. Any horse can put his back out just like humans. They run and play in the pasture and can land wrong off a jump and tweak their back as well. We work on performance horses on a regular basis Mainly because they are pushed hard and to perform at the top you need them happy. I use hands on massage techniques for the purpose of increasing circulation, relaxing muscle spasms, relieving tension, enhancing muscle tone, and increasing range of motion in all horses.

Tulsa is a big huge gelding that has been used on the farm to move lots of cattle. He is traffic safe and rides out alone or in a group. He can have a big motor but it is very controlable. He was lightly started on barrels last summer and did great. Might be a good HS barrel horse. Given his age of probably about 12 IDK if he will ever be top there. But he loves to push catte. He has not been ropped off of but we are working up to that and if someone had more time to dedicate to that he would be great. He could easily pull or cow or steer. He is sound and sane, easy to catch. Great hooves that get trimmed every 5 weeks. he neck reins great. Loads, ties, learning to ground tie, used to dogs, cats, goats, cattle, tractors, etc. Gets along well in a herd. He is a middle man. If you have any questions on Tulsa we would be happy to answer them. He is about 16.2HH. Given his size and his motor I would not recomend him for children unless they are very confident and experienced.

She Don't Know is a 2005 well built, 15.2 hand bay Thoroughbred mare. She has been off-track for a few years, had one foal and has been restarted under saddle this spring. She is fast, smart and ready to go! Her half brother completed the Gate to Great OTTB re-training program and has turned into a TOP ranch horse.
If you are looking to breed racing or performance horses, She Don't Know is also VERY well bred! By the excellent Danzig stallion Outflanker and out of a Broad Brush (leading broodmare sire) mare, she is a half sister to two stakes horses, including multiple New York stakes winner, Love Abroad. She Don't Know won her maiden at Churchill Downs and showed lots of speed a the track before a slight injury saw her retired. She is 100% sound in every way and could be a great broodmare or performance prospect.

Decks is a sorrel, 3yr old, about 15hh, who finished up 60 days with the awesome trainer, Dallas Cunningham, the beginning of May. He is laid back and going well with a very light touch. He would make an awesome show horse. He is developing a lower headset. We are still working on keeping the head down though--lots to look at. He is very sensitive to pressure and moves over, side steps, pivots, and even almost spins just with light leg pressure and a little direction with the reins. He has excellent confirmation. I believe he would transition well into English as well. He has an extremely smooth gate at walk, trot, and lope. We are still working on slowing everything down, but he's a very willing learner if you give him time to figure out what you want him to do and don't pressure him into it.
Decks has the potential and enough go in him that he would even make a pretty good all around horse for a youth in 4H if they aren't focused on the speed events, but he would do well in all the other events in 4H.
Loads no problem. Even did really well for his bath and the clippers, although he gets a little worried about it when it's by his face/nose. Gets his feet trimmed regularly as we do barefoot trimming, so no need for shoes.
He is up to date on shots and just had his teeth floated on 4/30. He also got his hooves trimmed that day.
Deck was in his first show at the HandiRiders show and while we didn't place, he did very well. He was well behaved at the show and didn't spook or anything being around all the other horses that were there.
Call, text or email for more info.
Motivated seller, open to serious offers.
$4500 now reduced to $3700/obo
Sorry, he is wet in the pictures, we didn't have time to wait for him to dry before we took the pictures. Hope to have some pictures from the show coming soon--and video, but we are having some trouble with the camera.

Crested (GB) was a stakes winner on the track and is now a superb ranch horse. This horse has been used on our ranch for about a year. He gathered and shipped calves last fall in hurricane-force winds, acting as though it was a calm, sunny day. He has sorted calves in the alley, worked cows outside and down a chute, and has been roped off of, outside an arena. An absolute smooth, pleasure to ride and likes attention. He is sound for any discipline and has the energy and attitude to suceed at anything you put his mind to.
He has the makings of a great competitive endurance mount and has seen just about everything on the trail so far. He has a great forward attitude and never has a problem going out alone. Or consider him for a junior jumper mount. There is really no limit to what this horse can be pointed to from here!

Zoey is a 5 yr old (on April 15, 2013) registered APHA black mare with white socks, a white spot on her forehead and a unique brown ring around the base of her nose. She is 15.5 hands high and has a nice, calm personality. She has had 90 days of professional training and is very trainable. She is willing and ready for someone to mold her into their type of horse. She is gentle and has been given lots of love and attention since she was gotten at the age of 4 months. She is up to date on shots and was just wormed and trimmed. She is an excellent prospect for 4-H, western pleasure, trail and more if desired. She carries herself nicely and looks good in the arena. She stands for the farrier, doesn’t mind bathes, has never bit, kicked or bucked and loves attention. She is not finished with training and needs someone to finish her since I have not been able to. She was doing good and learning quickly. She does great with an experienced rider and does want to please. She always comes up to the fence when you approach. She will go out on her own and has been ridden near a busy hi-way.
Due to owners health condition and not being able to give her consistent time and training Zoey is being put up for sale. She deserves another loving home and a chance to excel. Price is $1500. Call 712-754-3732 or 712-461-0271 or email jasasse@mtcnet.net

6 years this year. Probably about 14.2, but I need to measure him. Has DOC BAR, Freckles Playboy, and Dry Doc ON HIS PAPERS. Super smart and very attentive – pays attention to everything. Inquisitive personality that stays pretty level-headed. He will find the hole in the fence, but he probably won’t get hurt going through it. Quick learner that wants to please, but needs a full-time job. Probably needs to be ridden on a regular basis. I’m selling him because I only seem to be able to find time to ride about once a week and he needs to be ridden more than recreationally. Loves people, but can have a little trouble respecting space. Had 30 days with a trainer early last year and was ridden through most of the summer. Went on big and small trail rides and did 1 parade that had only 2 horses in it. Also spent some time in the arena. Trailers great, good with the farrier and vet. Pedigree can be seen under ‘Gin N Jingles’ on allbreedpedigree.com. Asking $1500.

CJ Nitros Miss Boon is a great granddaughter to Peptoboonsmal (top five cutting sires, offspring has won over 16 million dollars). She has been around anything and everything. She has been around dogs, cattle, and hogs. I have riddin her in many parades in which she does great! I have taken her to many small ranch rodeos and she is very "cowy" She is focused and determined to do her job. She has been apart of a few team sortings. I take her to team roping practices too. I have done many games on her and she has amazing potential!! She has speed!!! The reason I am selling her is because I am now in college and do not have time for her! I want someone to take her to her highest potential! She has not been riddin hard or gone through patterns for a few months do to me not having time, being two hours away in college, and not having an indoor arena to ride in. She is an amazing horse. She loads, clips, and shoes. She has been riddin in deep water, and I put many of my friends on her when they come to trail ride. I would not recommend her for a beginner. I love this horse and Im sure you will too!! Give her time and she will shine!!

Are you looking for a horse for your younger rodeo kid that can ride? Cactus is looking for a new rider. He is a 19 years old barrel and pole bending horse that has a lot of years left. He runs 3D barrels with an adult and can be faster with a lighter rider. Usually in the 22-23 second poles just going through them and can go faster if pushed. Does them pretty automatic - our niece got on him a couple of days before the 4-H rodeo and places high both days in both events. She ended up runner up all around and not by much. that shows you that he still has it and does it pretty much on his own. Your kid must be an experienced rider though. no gate issues. He does have a big knee on his front. takes a little maintenance on it but other than that he has never been injected. Have an arena to try him if you would want to try him. thanks for looking.

"Fedora" is a registered grey mare with a dorsal stripe down her back. She will be 3 this year. Easy Jet right on her papers. Easy Jet, si 100, by Jet Deck, out of Lena's Bar (by Three Bars TB), is one of the most influential speed sires of Quarter Horses. Should grow to about 15 hands. She has never bucked. Easiest horse to break that I have ever ridden. Has a nice stop to her and wont run off. She is calm and never spooks. Doesnt know how to neck rein yet. Will start working on that very soon. Works nice off her hind end. Starting to turn off leg pressure. Might make a nice kids horse with a little more riding. Get her now while shes cheap. Price will increase with more training. If you're looking for a barrel prospect or just a calm riding horse this is the horse for you. Has the run in her bloodlines, should make a great barrel horse. Only selling her because I am going to college this fall. Will send pictures and videos if wanted. Asking $1500 or best offer. If you have any questions feel free to call/text me at (605)690-2630

Our philosophy on training is we take things slow so you have a longer happier equine friend every horse is different so we take a easy approach so that your horse doesnt loose his/her mind. any trainer can train a horse in 30 days but in most cases you get a horse that is not happy about their job, when we get done your horse will like their job & be happy. We currently have openings. I have a indoor arena, out door arena, a round pen, Stalls available & turn out yards for your horse. Please call or text me 605-940-5349 for more info & bookings

She is a very good rider. she needs a refresher. She is around seven years old. She has papers but the jackson horse sale can't find them. So don't have them right now. she is a soft rider. She loves attention and loves to please you. She loads great and easy to trimm her feet. The price is not firm. She would be a good kids horse my girls don't really know how to ride yet and they ride her all over.. My two year old daughter sits on here and rides her around the pasture.

Pretty yearling filly. She's halter broke. I raised her. She's straight legged. Her parents came off the Chuck and Mary Crago ranch (Doc O'lena, Dash For Cash on the top side, Doc O Dynamite, Sun Frost on the bottom). She should grow up to be an all around type of horse; barrels, rope, cowhorse, or ranch horse. She'll grow up to be 14-2 or 14-3 and have some substance to her.
My brother rode her full sister as a 2 year old and he really liked her. She was cowy and had a nice handle on her. She's going on to be a barrel and ranch horse.
More pictures available upon request. The sire and dam are available to see on site.

This mare is broke to death. Responds to leg pressure, will come to a sliding stop, neck reins. We have just trailed with her and she will go anywhere you want. I always thought she would make a good reining horse with a little work. Traffic broke and is used to dogs. She needs an experienced rider because she has lots of energy and likes to go. On the trail she will lead the group anywhere you want to. Can go out on your own and will take you were you want to go. Call 507-823-4616 or 507-828-4557

Anna (Haidas Anasazi) is a gorgeous, well bred mare. Her sire is Haidas San Badger LTE $35,280. He's a NCHA Futurity Finalist and a full brother to Haidas Little Pep, a 7/8 Brother to Grays Starlight, Gallo Del Cielo(Rooster), and Paddy's Irish Whiskey and a 3/4 brother in blood to Peptoboonsmal.
Anna also has Colonel Freckles on her papers twice.
Anna is halter broke, easy to catch and lead, and she loves attention. She is also broke to ride, but we have only used her as a broodmare. She is a super quick and catty mare. She has a great disposition, gets along with the other mares in the pasture, and is a nice mare to work with. Sound to breed or ride. She produces very athletic foals who have good dispositions. She always produces some of our top prospects and her babies grow up to be really nice riding horses. She stamps her foals with good conformation and the breeding and ability to go in just about any direction.
Anna is bred to Two Eyed Cowhand, a dun son of Two Eyed Red Buck for 2013. Both horses' pedigrees available on allbreedpedigree.com/ Should be an outstanding baby and it will have a great pedigree!
$2000 negotiable

FLASH SALE:
This week only buy 2 goats get 1 free!! But they must be paid for & most importantly picked up by this Sunday (5-19-13) Everyone is always looking for a "deal" so here it is!
All kids are bottle fed from birth so they can go too, you will just get to finish feeding them until weaning age. The only exception to the pick up dates is I am going to the Sioux Falls airport on Monday the 20th & can deliver them that far then.
These are good quality healthy goats! I just have a little too much going on right now. So my loss is your gain. My herd is based on lines the show and milk well. I have put a lot of effort and hard work into getting my herd to where it is now. Here's a chance to add some great goats to your herd or start up a great herd.
Thanks!

Tired of having to open gates all the time driving in and out of pastures, I have the fix. Hi I'm Gregory Hansen in Dell Rapids, SD and I am building specialy designed gates that all you do is drive over them and they do the rest.
