Before KELO, I was a student at Michigan State University. I bleed Spartan green, so I’m happy to still be in Big 10 country!
I was born and raised in metro-Detroit. Growing up I watched local news uncover injustice in my community. That’s when I knew this was the field for me.
While at Michigan State, I was an intern at ABC 12 in Flint, Michigan and covered the Flint Water Crisis. I was also an intern at Fox 2 Detroit.
I was an anchor, reporter, and producer at the government access channel HOMTV. There I wrote, shot, and edited my own stories as a multi-media journalist.
I was also a multi-media journalist and anchor for Focal Point, our student newscast at MSU. My work there won an Emmy for my coverage of President Donald Trump’s last campaign stop in Grand Rapids.
Michigan State University named me Outstanding Journalism Senior just before I left for KELOLAND. If you ask me, they’re the outstanding ones. I am beyond honored to get to do what I love every day. My passion is to serve the public. I want to share your story.
When I’m not working on a story, you can catch me trying some craft brews downtown (Michigan’s famous breweries got me hooked) or working on a DIY project to decorate my new apartment.
