I’m from Wagner, as well as an enrolled member in the Yankton Sioux Tribe. I always knew I wanted to do something with news whether it be with print or broadcast. I was a lucky student chosen to be an Al Neuharth Free Spirit scholar and that’s when my passion for journalism really blossomed. After high school, I went on to study media and journalism at the University of South Dakota. Go Yotes! I graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media and Journalism and a minor in Religious Studies.
I started out wanting to do print journalism but quickly decided that broadcast was the way to go. Every week we did a student-run newscast at USD and it was such a blast. I knew from then on I wanted to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.
Now I’m here at KELOLAND and I couldn’t be happier!
