It may be hundreds of miles away, but our meteorologists have been keeping an eye on the forecast in Alaska.

Our recent nice weather has been a pleasant surprise for many people across KELOLAND after we thought winter had settled in for good in October.  However, it may be interesting to note that our nice weather may be coming at the expense of some very cold weather to our north in Alaska.

To add insult to injury Barrow, Alaska in the far north will have its last sunrise and sunset for the next few months Thursday.

Thankfully for us, that cold air looks to stay bottled up in Alaska for at least the next couple of weeks.
