Police say they know who pulled the trigger and shot two men in central Sioux Falls but they need your help finding the gunman.
A late-night party got out of hand early Sunday morning and about 40 to 50 people ended up in the street at 12th Street and Grange Avenue.
Police say two men were arguing when one pulled out a gun and fired four shots. One man was hit the leg; the other bullet hit a man in the head.
"The suspect ended up leaving in a car and there was enough people there who knew who he was so we actually have an arrest warrant that we issued this morning for two counts of aggravated assault and there's no bond on that warrant," Sioux Falls Police Officer Sam Clemens said.
Police are searching for 22-year-old Lawrence Trent West, who also goes by the name L.T. West is Native American, about 6-feet tall and 200 pounds. Authorities say he took off in a small red car with a shattered rear window. If you have any information on the suspect's whereabouts, you are asked to call police.
The victim who was shot in the head is said to be in stable condition; the person who was shot in the leg is out of the hospital.
