Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire in rural Worthington, Minnesota.

Fire crews responded to a call around 2:30 Monday morning. As they were fighting the fire, they discovered the body of an elderly Worthington woman. Authorities plan to release her name once her family is notified.

A number of crews responded to the fire including the Worthington Fire Department, Bigelow Fire Department, Rushmore Fire Department, Nobles County Sheriff's Office, Worthington Ambulance and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal.
