Records in the South Dakota secretary of state's office indicate a new general partner has been listed for Northern Beef Packers, which is building a beef processing plant in Aberdeen.
The new general partner is Oshik Song, replacing Dennis Hellwig, who had been the project's largest investor.
Hellwig said he had no comment.
Original plans called for construction to start in fall 2006 with a potential opening the next spring. But there have been numerous delays, and no one would speculate on an opening date. In the past, supporters have said Northern Beef Packers could process 1,500 head of cattle a day and employ about 600 workers.
Officials in Brown County say the plant owes $128,140 in 2008 property taxes and that 24 mechanic's liens totaling more than $15 million have been filed against the plant.
