The Delta Dental Dakota Smiles mobile dental program has provided dental care to child No. 10,000 since
2004.

The milestone was reached last week in Belle Fourche.  The program features dental professionals who travel the state to provide dental care to underserved children.  The bus has visited 60 communities across South Dakota and delivered $4.3 million worth of dental care the past five years.

Dental professionals say tooth aches, cavities and missing teeth not only cause children pain, they also prevent them from leading healthy lives.
