H1N1 vaccination clinics are being held across South Dakota. Doors opened at an immunization clinic at the Codington County Extension Building in Watertown at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and there was a line of people waiting to get in.

Around 100 people waited outside to get their shots. The vaccine is being given to infants and children 6 months through 4 years of age. H1N1 vaccine will be provided on a first-come, first- served basis until the 1,200 doses are given out.

In Rapid City, approximately 2,000 doses of H1N1 vaccine are available at public clinics being held Wednesday and Thursday. Vaccinations will be given to children from 6 months to age 5 at the Rapid City locations. Parents or guardians need to complete a consent form. Any questions should be directed to Regional Health at 719-7480.
