A crash at Russell Street and Western Avenue in Sioux Falls sent two people to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. It happened around 5:30 Monday morning.
Police say a 40-year-old woman from Sioux Falls was going south on Western Avenue when she ran a red light and drove in front of a car being driven by a 46-year-old man from Crooks, who was going east on Russell Street. That caused a T-bone crash. The woman was thrown from her car and was most seriously hurt, while the Crooks man received only minor injuries.
Both were taken to the hospital. Russell Street was closed until 10 a.m. While authorities investigated the accident. Police say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
