We have had a nice break from the rain for the most part through this weekend, now we have more rain moving in as we finish tonight into tomorrow and Tuesday. In western South Dakota in the higher elevations above 5000 feet snow will likely fall as well with accumulation likely. Some isolated spots could see 6 inches or more. The snow in those areas will start tonight and continue off and on through Monday. The other area that may see some accumulating snowfall is in NW South Dakota near Harding and Perkins county. For the rest of the state widespread rain will be likely and it could be heavy, the best chance for heavy rainfall seems to be from about Pierre up through the Aberdeen area. The rain will continue Monday night into Tuesday at this point even north central and NE South Dakota could see a little snow mix in with the rain though accumulation isn’t likely. Farther south rain will continue into Tuesday before the system moves out of the area late Tuesday. We will catch a decent break on Wednesday with quiet weather before some isolated showers are possible on Thursday. Temperatures will stay cool with the warmest day coming with some sunshine on Wednesday.

Remember if you get any pictures or videos of the snow or any weather that you would like us to share with KELOLAND, feel free to pass them along. Even if they are posted on Facebook, Flickr or any other site, just send us the link! Or email them directly to stormcenter@keloland.com.
