Union County authorities are investigating a pedestrian accident on Interstate 29.
 
They say a person from Jefferson, South Dakota was walking north on I-29 near the Jefferson exit Sunday night, when they were struck by a vehicle.  The pedestrian was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, with undisclosed injuries. 

No names have been released at this time.
