The U.S. Forest Service says a prescribed burn is expected to resume Wednesday near Nemo, depending on the weather.
Crews started the burn last week with the goal of burning 500 more acres this week.
The burn will occur on National Forest land in Lawrence and Meade counties. The burn units are about 5 miles southwest of Piedmont, near Steamboat Rock Picnic Ground.
The burn is expected to start Wednesday morning and continue through Friday.
