Showers and t-storms are still producing areas of heavy rain this morning. Rainfall totals reported so far as of 7am include:

Canistota: 2.65”

Platte: 2.75”

Lake Preston: 3-5”….local flooding last night

Downtown Sioux Falls: .25”…but more rain is falling now.

Harrisburg:  .43"

Aberdeen: .15”

Parker: 1.61"

Bridgewater: 2.35"

Vermillion: 1.00"

Geddes:   2.60"

Look for clouds to linger into the afternoon as the rain slowly departs into Nebraska. Temperatures will range from the upper 60s in northeast Nebraska to the upper 80s in northwest SD. With some clearing conditions tonight…areas of fog are likely in areas that have picked up the heavier rainfall.

Labor Day weekend is looking very pleasant…with the breeze from the southeast increasing by Sunday. Highs should stay in the upper 70s to lower 80s in most areas…with the warmest weather in the west. The best chance of rain will wait until Tuesday as a stronger weather system will produce t-storms.
