A Martin woman once accused of shooting and injuring her boyfriend at a Rapid City home now faces unrelated grand theft and forgery charges.

Prosecutors say Krista Richard stole about $1,700 from a man at a resort near Keystone while she worked as a housekeeper. She has pleaded not guilty.

Richard pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and alternate aggravated assault counts in March in the nonfatal shooting of her boyfriend in the head the month before.

Chief Deputy State's Attorney Lara Roetzel says those charges have been dismissed because the shooting victim is not available.
