There's a Back To School Fair at Lincoln High School. Starting at 10:00 AM kids can learn safety tips and finger printing, the smoke house will be there and health screenings will be done for free. Lunch will be served at 11:00 AM until they run out.

The Terry Redlin Art Center in Watertown is hosting a day of fun. Starting at 1:00 PM there will be performances all day. The event is free and will run until 8:00 PM. The final performance will be done by Sawyer Brown. Be sure to bring your lawn chair.

The Quilts and Vines Outdoor Quilt Show and Wine Tasting is also happening today. The Strawbale Winery is hosting the event. Tickets are $12 at the door. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the first 1500 to register receive a wine glass.

It's Colman Looney Days on Main Street in Colman. The day kicks off with a parade at 10:00 AM, kids tractor pull, and later a water race.

The Dog Days of Summer Rally to Rescue is also happening today. Starting at 10:00 AM and running until 3:00 PM stop by the Pet Smart on Louise Avenue in Sioux Falls. There will be dozens of pets to adopt and the money raised will go to help out local shelters.

Sanford is hosting a Sports Streetball Challenge. It kicks off at 8:00 AM. South Dakota native and NBA basketball player Mike Miller is hosting the show with many players throughout the region ages 6 to 18.

It's another weekend of Remote Control Car Racing at the I-90 speedway in Hartford. Starting at 12:00 PM, the event is free. Watch cars fly around the track at 40 miles per hour.

It's the 150th birthday of Vermillion this year and to kick it off, the city is hosting a parade at 10:00 AM. There will be a giant cake along with 64 other floats to admire. The route is the same that's used for the fall Dakota Days Celebration.
