It was Lincoln's first state title.
The Patriots took a 13-0 lead on a pair of touchdowns by Moore. The first came on a 13-yard pass from Ryan Hander, and the second was a five-yard run that capped a 77-yard drive.
Washington took a 14-13 lead after Adam Heck returned an interception for a touchdown, and then, when Brett Grevlos threw a touchdown pass to Quintin McMartin.
But the Patriots took over in the fourth quarter. Moore took a handoff for a big gain, and then, as he was being pulled to the turf, lateralled to Brett Anderson, who took it the rest of the way for the go-ahead touchdown.
Then Moore iced it with an insurance rushing touchdown, making it 27-14.
Washington scored a touchdown late to cut the score to 27-20, but a last-second Hail Mary from Grevlos was intercepted by Anthony Muilenberg, and the Patriots celebrated the historic win.
