It's supposed to be a way for friends to stay in touch, but once again a social networking web site has been used as a tool to commit a sex crime.

A Sioux Falls man is in jail tonight charged with raping a teenage girl he met on MySpace. The 15-year-old victim claims 23-year-old Nate Rinken forced himself on her at his home after picking her up from work.

On his online MySpace profile, Nate Rinken writes that at 23 years old, he's already been married, had a child, then divorced.

His court file reveals he's now been charged with raping someone he met on the social networking website.

According to court papers, the 15-year-old victim says in the months after meeting Rinken online, she met up with him in person three or four times. The last meeting, in May, began with Rinken picking her up from work and taking her back to his house .

While talking in his bedroom, she says Rinken starting kissing her. She pulled away and told him to stop. She says he pulled her clothes off and began to rape her as she shook her head and said "no."

She says she was teary-eyed afterward and asked Rinken to leave the room as she got dressed.

When the detective spoke to Rinken, he admitted knowing the victim and knowing she is in high school.

According to court papers, Rinken said the victim told him she was unsure if she wanted to have sex. But he admits that is what they did.

Rinken is scheduled to be in court Tuesday. He's being held in the Minnehaha County jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
