While some people whistle while they work, some southern Sioux Falls travelers are getting all shook-up on their commute.  The signs along 57th Street say it all.

Sandi Dunkelberger says, "Very Rough, Very Bumpy."

Clinton Henry says, "You definitely look at the signs. When it says slow down, I take advantage of that."

But other drivers don't heed the warnings, and for them, every bump and ripple is like a roller coaster ride.

Henry says, "Oh yeah, I've seen a lot of people drive it way too fast and man they're jumping around, flying around in their vehicle."

Travis Olson says, "Takes you off guard, that's for sure."

And drivers we talked with aren't just upset about the bumpy ride, they also question how much damage the rough road is doing to their car."

Dunkelberger says, "Shocks, tires, anything like that."

Olson says, "You got to watch your speed and you see cars they bottom out."

And that leaves drivers just wishing for one thing... a smoother ride.

Henry says, "Hopefully they replace it sometime soon I hope. I mean, they're replacing all these potholes elsewhere in the city, but I think they need to concentrate on some of these main streets."

But until those repairs happen, those who travel this stretch of 57th street will just have to take the ups, with the downs.

And drivers won't have to wait much longer. Two separate construction projects are scheduled to begin this spring.
