The University of South Dakota is hosting a symposium entitled "Native Student Success: Incorporating Indigenous Worldviews Into the Higher Education Experience" on September 14th.
Charlene Teters, a professor at the Institute of American Indian Arts, is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the Freedom Forum Conference Room. Workshops include ways to improve native student success in higher education. Discussion forums include native student learning styles and cultural-based curriculum and research methods.
The annual symposium is sponsored by USD's Native American Recruitment and Retention Committee.
