After a three-day break, South Dakota's first capital punishment trial with a female defendant resumes Monday.
Forty-three year-old Daphne Wright of Sioux Falls is charged with kidnapping and killing her ex-lover's friend, 42-year-old Darlene VanderGiesen, in February of 2006.
The trial was originally expected to last a month, but prosecutors say they hope to finish presenting their case by the end of this week.
We'll be in the courtroom tomorrow, and will bring you the latest developments on KELOLAND News and KELOLAND.com.
