As Senators Barack Obama and John McCain campaign across the country, one question neither candidate will answer is who they will choose as a running mate.
Senator John Thune was once mentioned as a possible running mate to John McCain.
Neither the Democrats, nor the Republicans have officially chosen their candidate, but already the country wants to know who will join each ticket as a running mate. And although South Dakota Senator John Thune was once mentioned as a possible running mate of Senator John McCain, Thune says that's unlikely.
Senator Thune says, “I guess right now the campaigns, both campaigns, Democrats and Republicans are probably going through a process that will get them to some conclusion, perhaps by the conventions in August.”
However, Senator Thune says having the two senators squaring off for the highest office in the country is quite historical. We'll explain why, tonight on KELOLAND.com and News.
