Two American Indian colleges in South Dakota are sharing in almost $3.8 million that goes to schools in seven states to provide training programs to recruit and graduate new Indian teachers and school administrators.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, Oglala Lakota College in Kyle receives $358,264 and Sinte Gleska University in Mission gets $355,832.
Programs in Arizona, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Oregon also received funding.
