Governor Mike Rounds is asking that all flags in South Dakota be flown at half staff during the day on Saturday to honor former state Rep. Royal "Bud" Wood.

Wood, a lifelong Warner resident, died November 19 at the age of 87.

He served in the House from 1967-1992. Wood was House speaker during the legislative sessions of 1989 and 1990. His funeral is Saturday in Aberdeen.
