The newest member of the Stanley County School Board has many of the same concerns as his fellow board members
Seth Lopour wants to improve academics, expand access to extracurricular activities and balance the budget.
But the 17-year-old Lopour has other things on his plate while his fellow board members are spending their days earning a living. He's taking classes as a high school senior. Lopour joined the Stanley County School Board as a nonvoting student representative this past week after the board's five elected members approved a proposal to create the position.
He and board members say they hope he helps offer a student perspective.
