Authorities continue to investigate the disappearance of a Mitchell teenager and a suspicious fire east of town.

A fire was reported around 10 p.m. Tuesday. Investigators found a car on fire and a burned body in the trunk.

The burned car and the body have been transported to the State Crime Lab in Pierre. The remains have not yet been identified.

Investigators are searching for a missing person in connection with the fire. The South Dakota Attorney General's Office says 16-year-old Jasmine Guevara of Mitchell is missing. She was last seen Tuesday night in a 1999 green Chevy Malibu.
