The H1N1 vaccination clinic being held in Sioux Falls on Thursday is now open to anyone in South Dakota who is part of Tier 1.  Earlier, organizers planned to limit who could get the vaccine to residents of Minnehaha or McCook Counties or the Sioux Falls portion of Lincoln County.

Tier 1 includes pregnant women, children six months to four years, adults who care for infants younger than six months, children five to 18 years with health complications, emergency and health care workers.

The H1N1 vaccination clinic will open at 3:00 p.m. at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls. It ends at 7:00 p.m. Organizers have more than 3,000 vaccinations to distribute.

To receive a vaccine, you must first fill out a medical consent form. Those can be found on both the Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County Web sites.

Additional events are tentatively scheduled for the Expo Building on November 12 and November 19 based on vaccine availability.

There are H1N1 clinics being held across South Dakota this week.  Check the state's Department of Health Web site for more information.
