A state prison inmate who walked away from a minimum-security prison in Rapid City two years ago is back in custody.
The Department of Corrections says Eugene Clifford was apprehended Monday on the Rosebud Indian Reservation.
Clifford failed to return to the Rapid City prison from a job search on October 24, 2007. At the time, he was serving a three-year sentence for grand theft and a concurrent five-year sentence for receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle out of Pennington County.
