A Blackhawk helicopter is making a stop in Brookings.
The aircraft from the Army Aviation Support facility in Rapid City will be on display Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at South Dakota State University's Sexauer Field.
Crew members will be available to answer questions about its operation and mission.
First Lieutenant Martin Skovly has piloted the aircraft. He's a 2005 graduate of SDSU's College of Arts and Sciences and is stationed at the university teaching military science.
After the display, 31 cadets will board the helicopter to fulfill some training requirements.
The Blackhawk is the Army's front-line utility helicopter used for air assault, air cavalry and aeromedical evacuation units.
