A strip club in the small town of Mansfield may not open after all.

Spink County states attorney Vic Fischbach has sent a letter to its owners and law enforcement saying the establishment is illegal.

According to state law, adult-oriented businesses established after June of last year cannot open within a quarter mile of a playground. But there is a playground right across the street from the club in Mansfield.

Violators of the law could face up to a year in jail, a $2,000 fine or both. And according to the law, each day of violation is a separate offense.
