Firefighters from Madison and Howard were busy late Monday morning after a fire was reported at a building
operated by beekeeping business A.H. Meyer & Sons in Winfred.

When crews arrived, the inside of Wax Building No. 2 was engulfed in flames.  Lake County Sheriff's Deputy Tim Walburg says three employees were in the building when the fire started. One reportedly was taken to Madison by private vehicle and the other two were taken to Madison later by ambulance.

No information is available on their conditions.

The fire was reported at 9:40 a.m. Firefighters focused on cooling a large solvent tank and three propane tanks.
