A motorcyclist whose bike flIpped over on Interstate 90 near Mitchell was slightly injured when the machine went out of control after hitting a load of gravel that fell from a truck.

The Highway Patrol says a group of bikers ran into inch-deep gravel Wednesday, and a Sioux Falls woman's motorcycle went down.

The gravel stretched for about a block on the interstate, and the westbound lanes were closed for about an hour until the gravel was cleaned up by a road crew.
