A soybean crushing plant is being planned east of Miller by South Dakota Oilseed Producers LLC. 

CEO Mike Trosen says the group has raised $8.5 million from investors for a project that will cost $19 million in all and have 12 to 15 employees. 

He says the plant will operate seven days a week to produce soybean meal for livestock and high-quality oil that can be used in food or for biodiesel.
