The Oahe Reservoir on the Missouri River rose almost three feet last month.
The Army Corps of Engineers says Oahe is expected to climb another two feet this month.
The reservoir is three and a half feet higher than it was at this time last year. But it's still almost 23 feet below its normal elevation.
The corps says heavy rains in May pushed the Missouri River to its highest level since the drought began in 2000.
