Prom is supposed to be a memorable night filled with tradition. But a major motion picture is putting that tradition on hold for Hill City students.

Hill City juniors and seniors are used to celebrating prom with Mount Rushmore's famous faces. But this year, they will remember another face instead.

Nicolas Cage and his sequel National Treasure: Book Of Secrets are taking over the memorial on a weekend usually reserved for Hill City's prom.

"It's a beautiful location, the students get to have their pictures taken outside in front of the faces. So its been really nice for us to have it there. Its really special for the kids," says Hill City teacher Kim D'Hont.

"Usually the scene right there makes it really interesting and nice.  And then we eat, and then we just have our dance there," adds Student Body President Adriana Meza.

But that all changed last month when school officials received a phone call from Disney.

"We had no idea until one month before our prom that their most intense days of filming would be during that weekend", D'Hont says, "First of all they said they would like to pay for our prom."

And eventually they offered to cover transportation from Hill City to a new location in Rapid City. Disney is also donating three iPods, a computer, an electric guitar, and a $500 cash prize for the post-prom party.

Meza replies, "I think they handled it really good because they actually took us into consideration and tried to make us happy about it."

And by making these changes, prom will definitely be a night to remember.

Disney is also giving the high school's valedictorian a $1,000 scholarship each of the next five years as a way of saying sorry and thank you at the same time to Hill City students.
