The South Dakota Supreme Court will begin hearing cases at the Washington Pavilion.

The high court will be in Sioux Falls for three days, hearing three cases each day. The public is invited to attend, starting at 9:00 this morning.

Former governor and former congressman Bill Janklow goes before the South Dakota Supreme Court today to argue a case.

A year ago he appeared before the same court to ask that his law license be reinstated. He lost it after his conviction of manslaughter for a 2003 traffic accident. His law license was returned last February.

In the case, Janklow is helping represent a man trying to regain custody of a daughter. The man was found unintentionally negligent in the death of another daughter who was left in a parked car in the summer heat after he forgot to drop her off at day care on his way to work.
