A Sioux Falls man walked out of a bank with cash Wednesday afternoon; ten minutes later, he was in handcuffs and headed to jail.  And he wasn't the only one arrested. A total of three people were taken into custody after a bank robbery at the First Savings Bank on East 10th Street in Sioux Falls.

Mark Green,28, was in the SUV that pulled away from the bank and was arrested on a parole violation; Shannon Heggeseth,33, was driving the vehicle and was arrested for having meth. The bank robbery suspect is 28-year-old Max Boor. He's charged with second-degree robbery.

Police have recovered all of the cash that was taken from the bank during the robbery. But they say that probably wouldn't have happened so quickly if it wasn't for the work of the tellers.

The First Savings Bank was surrounded by police cars as investigators searched for the suspects involved in an afternoon bank robbery. But it didn't take long to find them. The suspected robber walked into the bank at 12:39 p.m. and demanded money, and Boor was arrested ten minutes later.

"I think that made all the difference in the world. The tellers in this case did an excellent job," Sam Clemens with the Sioux Falls Police department said.

Police say the bank tellers were able to get a good description of not only the suspect but also the vehicle that he got away in. The tellers called 911 with the description. Dispatchers gave that information to officers on patrol and a Minnehaha County Sheriff's deputy spotted the vehicle. That's when the three people were arrested.

"They had a good enough head on their shoulders to get that information, but also know what to do with it, which is to pass it on to 911 and let the dispatchers know," Clemens said.

It's information that was priceless when it came to recovering the cash that was taken from the bank and putting the suspects behind bars.

"We had a whole lot of components that came together and it all just worked out really well. We couldn't have asked for a better situation," Clemens said.

A criminal background check on Boor shows he was convicted of having marijuana five years ago, as well as escaping from jail in Aurora County back in 1997.
