THE 10th ANNUAL
Art Show & Creative Contest
Celebrating the Art Talents of South Dakotans Age 60+
Sponsored by South Dakota Health Care Association, Home Federal Bank, and KELOLAND TV.
The event is open to every citizen of South Dakota who is age 60 and older. The SDHCA Dakota MasterWorks show will take place:
AGE DIVISIONS
First, second, and third place cash awards will be given in each category. In addition, judges will select a Best of Show. The public will also be invited to vote for the People's Choice award that will also be presented following the show. Categories and entry specifications are:
ENTRY CRITERIA:
$10.00 per entry is due upon entry to cover insurance and handling fees. No more than three entries per artist may be submitted. The entry must have been completed within the last three years. No pieces entered previously may be reenterd. No nude works of art will be accepted for this competition.
JUDGING:
Judging will take place in Sioux Falls prior to the exhibit. Judges are appointed based on their talent and expertise. Awards categories are:
The first place winners in each category shall receive a check for $75, second place $50 and third $25. The Best of Show and People's Choice shall receive an award of $100.
ENTRY AND RELEASE:
All entries, along with an entry form, will be accepted between September 5-14, 2006. Deliver entries to Dakota MasterWorks c/o SDHCA. Entries must include a brief biographical profile and a release authorizing the SDHCA to reproduce any winning entry for promotional purposes without compensation to the artist. The release form must be submitted with the entry and be on file prior to judging.
NOTE:
All artwork must be framed and ready for display.

- Painting (acrylic) Size limited to 30"x45"
- Painting (watercolor) Size limited to 30"x45"
- Painting (oil) Size limited to 30"x45"
- Drawing/Pastels Size limited to 30"x45"
- Photography (black and white or color) Size limited to 30"x45"
- Sculpture & Woodcarving Limited to 2'x2' in size. For larger objects, a color photo may be substituted.
